Torah's Light Hebrew Catholic Center exists to rejoice in and to share the Good News (Gospel)—"Christ has died. Christ has risen. Christ will come again." We do this in a Jewish way. Since Jesus, His Mother, and all of His Apostles were Jewish, Christianity is inextricably linked to the Jews. Jesus' teachings that we hold so dear were taught to Jews in a Jewish context. Torah's Light celebrates and diffuses the Gospel in a Catholic way. This is a Roman Catholic lay apostolate, a ministry of laity to the Church at large—Catholic and Protestant alike. It is also a vehicle submitted to God to be used by Him through the gentle guidance of the Holy Spirit for the work of our Lord, Jesus Christ, the salvation and sanctification of humanity. Section 900 of the Catechism of the Catholic Church instructs us that we are entrusted with the apostolate by virtue of Baptism and Confirmation. It is our "right and duty, individually and grouped in associations, to work so that the divine message of salvation may be known and accepted by all men throughout the earth...Their activity in ecclesial communities is so necessary that, for the most part, the apostolate of the pastors cannot be fuuly effective without it." (from Catechism of the Catholic Church with Modifications from Editio Typica, Image (Doubleday):New York, 1997. [ISBN: 0-385-47967-0]) Endowed with so great a responsibility, so great a mandate from both our Lord and the Church, we dare not take it lightly. Therefore, we present to you, our partners, our current needs:
We stand in faith before our Lord, agreeing together with you (Matthew 18:19) that He Who is able to save our souls is able and willing to provide every need we have. Thank you for your prayers and support. Be assured that we also pray for you.
Shalom b'Yeshua—Pax Christi (Peace of Christ)
